Experiments around a conversational assistant optimized for French: transformer architecture adapted for dialogue, translation and contextual adaptation.

The main challenges: keeping decent performance while shrinking the model size, and improving context understanding across a conversation.

This project laid the groundwork for Dolphin, the 100% local AI assistant now running in production on the homelab (MoltBot + Ollama on TrueNAS Scale).
